Meetings Attended


·            100% attendance at Oldham Council meetings


Work on ward issues


·         Worked with community groups, and local community members to submit three ‘Local Improvement Fund’ bids. Unfortunately, only one of these (renovation of Fitton Hill Bulldogs’ club house was successful.



·         Helped Fitton Hill Bulldogs to submit bids to Viridor and High Sherriff’s fund and decision on these is imminent.

·         Worked with the police to tackle Anti-social behavior

·         Working with Madina Masjid in Coppice to install a streetlight and establish a youth club.

·         Following residents’ concerns, worked with police to raise and fund speeding issues on Hadfield St

·         Helped establish a women’s group in Hathershaw

·         Regularly spoke to residents, and posted messages on social media encouraging testing for Covid 19, and taking up of vaccination

·         Worked with Census team to raise awareness of Census 21 within the BME and Eastern European communities and received recognition as a ‘Census Champion’.

·         Led on community litter picking sessions

·         Worked with many individuals and families (through case work) to help raise and in most cases resolve their issues
