Oldham Council’s Public Health team, in partnership with NHS GM, successfully bid to GM Cancer Alliance for the value of £56,500 to support the delivery of neighbourhood-based approaches to improve cancer outcomes. The focus of all associated activity is on early diagnosis, patients living with cancer and reducing health inequalities. The funds were made available specifically to enable local partnerships, across neighbourhood teams including VCSFE sector to work with communities in a meaningful, asset based and sustainable way to improve cancer outcomes.
