This report seeks executive approval to proceed with the
replacement of ageing LAN switches across Oldham Council sites. The
current infrastructure is increasingly prone to faults, lacks
modern security capabilities, and cannot support the performance
requirements of upcoming digital services. Upgrading these switches
will improve network reliability, strengthen cybersecurity, and
ensure the Council can deliver resilient, future?ready services to
staff and residents.
