Local Welfare Provision Policy 2025-26
PDF 117 KBLocal Welfare Provision (LWP) is a
discretionary scheme to provide support to Oldham’s most
vulnerable residents experiencing financial crisis. Is it a scheme
of ‘last resort’ as part of our commitment to work with
a resident focus.
The purpose of the Local Welfare Provision Scheme is to provide
support:
• To meet short term emergency/immediate support needs of
vulnerable residents.
• To assist vulnerable residents to establish or maintain a
home in the community.
The Delegated Decision Report seeks approval to adopt the Local
Welfare Provision Policy (LWP) for 2025-26.
