09/07/2024 - Oldham Coliseum Theatre, Fairbottom Street, Oldham – Asset of Community Value listing ref: 5202    Recommendations Approved

The Listing of Assets of Community Value process, approved in December 2013, was introduced under the Localism Act 2011 “the Act”. A nomination for listing the following land – Oldham Coliseum Theatre, Fairbottom Street, Oldham, OL1 3SW as an Asset of Community Value was received by the Council from the Save Oldham Coliseum and after consideration it was deemed a valid application for consideration to register.
The nomination was considered by the Council against the criteria set out in the Act (as enacted by the Assets of Community Value Regulations 2012). The decision was made by the Decision Maker after consideration of the Briefing Note provided by Legal Services, and ratified by Councillor Shah, Leader of the Council, to list the asset as the nomination met the criteria as per the ACV assessment form (see appendix 1 – ACV assessment) and the Act.

09/07/2024 - Buckstones Road, Woodhouse Road and Dingle Avenue, Shaw – Prohibition of Waiting and Bus Stop Clearway ref: 5205    Recommendations Approved

The purpose of the report is to approve the introduction of double yellow lines along parts of Buckstones Road, Woodhouse Road and Dingle Avenue together with the introduction of a Bus Stop clearway on Buckstones Road, as detailed on drawing number 47/A4/1728/1 and in the schedules at the end of this report.

10/06/2024 - Asylum Dispersal Grant Post ref: 5286    Recommendations Approved

Oldham Council has secured £23,000 of the Asylum Dispersal grant that will fund a 0.5 Development Officer (Grade 5) post within Heritage, Libraries and Arts. The post will create the capacity needed to extend the Libraries of Sanctuary offer and programme of activities for sanctuary seekers.
