Gallery Oldham is an important asset in
Oldham. It is widely accessed by residents, including children,
young people and families and serves as an important educational
site. Maintaining it is crucial not only for the residents of
Oldham but to also boost footfall into Oldham.
Requirement to undertake necessary electrical alterations to remove
risks to the service, visitors and collections that are currently
posed by end-of-life equipment and prevent critical incidents,
ensuring this valuable community space remains available for
use.
This report seeks approval for the acceptance of the most
economically advantageous tender submission in relation to the
upgrade of the electrical services at Gallery Oldham, 35 Greaves
Street, Oldham, OL1 1AL and for approval to enter into a contract
for the advertised services.

grant award. Beale Valley / Broadbent Moss is a GM priority
project. The location has the potential to drive through
significant economic benefit for Oldham. (JPA12) Stakehill is now
an adopted allocated location for development of 480 homes plus
supporting infrastructure, tram stop and new educational
facilities. The grant award will facilitate an integrated drainage
assessment which is a prerequisite for economic
development.

Reason for decision
In order to support implementation of the new Fair Share policy, as
well as improve operational efficiency within Housing Options, it
is necessary to purchase a bolt-on module for the Locata IT system.
This can be done via a contract modification, so as to keep the
arrangements with Locata under a single agreement. As such
Commercial Procurement Unit requests approval to:
a) modify the existing G Cloud Call-Off Contract; and
b) request an exemption to the Councils Contract Procedure
Rule’s as this modification is over 10%
