Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Ghafoor, Hince (Councillor Navesey substituted), Jabbar (Councillor Mushtaq substituted) and Sykes (Coouncillor Bishop sustituted).

To approve the minutes of the meetings held on 11 July 2025, 14 July 2025, 18 July 2025 and 21 July 2025.

RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meetings held on 11 July 2025, 14 July 2025, 18 July 2025 and 21 July 2025 be approved as a correct record.

To consider that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business, pursuant to Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 on the grounds that discussions may involve the likely disclosure of exempt information, under paragraph 1 as defined in the provisions of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, to the Local Government Act 1972 and public interest would not be served in publishing the information.

RESOLVED that in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it contains exempt information under paragraphs 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, and it would not, on balance, be in the public interest to disclose the reports.

Members of the Appointments Committee undertook an interview process for the post of Director of Children’s Social Care and Early Help.

RESOLVED that Anthony Decrop be appointed to the post of Director of Chidren’s Social Care and Early Help on a salary within the Director banding.
