Election of Chair

The Panel is asked to elect a Chair for the duration of the meeting.

Minutes:

As the meeting did not have full membership the meeting was opened and adjourned until 8th December at 15.30.

 

RESOLVED – That Councillor Chadderton elected Chair for the duration of the meeting.

Consideration was given to a report of the Assistant Chief Executive which sought consideration of the Local Investment Fund Advisory Panel recommendations on the allocation of Local Improvement Fund spend

The LIF Cabinet Sub-Committee were asked to review the final scores and comments provided by the advisory panel and agree which applications should receive funding.

 

RESOLVED – That:

The following requests for funding for the Central District were considered and agreed:

Central          

1.         Alt Croft and Orchard                      £1,997 agreed.

2.         Bay Street Lighting Column           £2,500 agreed.

3.         Westwood Alleygating                    £3,500 agreed.

The following requests for funding for East District were considered and agreed

1.         Veg in the Park Poly Tunnel          £3,500 agreed.

2.         Reaching Out                                   £1,300 deferred until next round,

3.         Grotton Wildflower Meadow           £1,000 deferred until next round,

4.         Ashes Lane Playgroup                   £3,380 agreed.

5.         Wildlife Watch Grotton                    £1,693 deferred until next round

6.         RAF Cadets Training Corps           £3,500 agreed.

7.         Leesfield wildlife garden                 £1,271 rejected as there was no evidence of the garden being community accessible.

8.         Lees Park Eco Hub                         £500 agreed.

9.         Pearly Bank Clean Up                    £3,195 agreed.

10.       SASL Get Sporty                              £3,500 deferred until next round.

The following requests for funding for South District were considered and agreed

1.         REEL CIC Holiday Activities          £1,000 agreed.

2.         Salvation Army Fitton Hill –            £3,000 deferred until next round.

3.         GMSAW – Mind@Peace                £3,500 deferred until next round.

4.         Coppice Community Hub               £3,500 deferred until next round

The following requests for funding for North District were considered and agreed

1.         Royton Cricket Club                        £1,000 agreed.

2.         Dogford Park Litter Bins                 £1,860 rejected as consultation would be starting on Parks and Open Spaces for the next round of replacement litter bins

3.         RCC Bowling Club                          £1,000 rejected as the application did not specify what activities would be undertaken. Insufficient evidence that young people would be involved in bowling. .

4.         Royton South Alleyways                £2,500 agreed.        

The following requests for funding for West District were considered and agreed

1.         Chadderton Together Feb Half Term Family Meal        £1,000 agreed.
