Redundancy Appeal Minutes: The appellant and their representative presented their case. Mary Grainger, dismissing officer, supported by Tahira Akhtar, Human Resources Advisor to the dismissing officer, presented the case on behalf of the Authority.
Andy Wilson, Human Resources Advisor to the Committee, was in attendance to advise on matters of policy and procedure at the Committee. He had not taken part in the original decision. The Committee asked questions of both parties and both parties asked questions of each other.
Both parties summarised their case. The Committee adjourned the meetings whilst deliberations took place regarding their decision.
RESOLVED: That the Committee was satisfied that the correct procedure for responding to a situation in which redundancies may apply has been followed and therefore the appeal is dismissed.
