Application to Renew a Dual Driver Licence (DP-2022-15)
The purpose of this report is to inform
Members of an application to renew a dual hackney carriage /
private hire driver’s licence. The licence was revoked in May
2020 following information received from Greater Manchester Police
and the licence holder is seeking to renew his dual driver licence
pending the outcome of his appeal at the Magistrates
Court.

RESOLVED that, based on the information provided to the Panel, having considered the Driver’s conduct and taking into account Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council’s ‘Statement of Fitness and Suitability Private Hire & Hackney Carriage)’, approved by the Council in March 2018, the current dual hackney carriage/private hire driver’s licence application to renew be refused.
NOTE: The Driver attended the meeting and addressed the Panel.
