Consideration was given to a
report of the Chief Executive which provided Members with an update on the
outcome of the redesign of the Organisational Framework of the Council and the
Senior Management Team, firstly, the Senior Team who would have a
direct reporting line to the Chief Executive. This was progressed
during November and December 2021. The report also sought agreement
to changes within the Executive Management Team.
RESOLVEDthat:
1.
The Chief Executive to
provide a report on salary bandings for senior officers at the next
meeting of the Appointments Committee for consideration.
- The redesignation of
the post of Deputy Chief Executive Place and Economic Growth to
Executive Director Place and Economic Growth be agreed and approval
be given to recruit to post of Executive Director Place and
Economic Growth internally and then externally if
required.
- The recruitment of
the Director of Environmental Services be deferred to the next
meeting and the remuneration be determined in line with a report to
be considered at the next meeting of the Appointments Committee
setting out salary bandings for senior officers.
- The establishment of
the post of Director of Digital and Resident Focused Services be
agreed and the remuneration be determined in line with a report to
be considered at the next meeting of the Appointments Committee
setting out salary bandings for senior officers.
- A single Deputy Chief
Executive for the Council be agreed
with the postholder leading the People Services
portfolio.
- The portfolio of
Assistant Chief Executive be strengthened with the remuneration for
the post to be considered at the next meeting of the Appointments
Committee setting out salary bandings for senior
officers.
