This decision is required to approve the
purchase of Eco furniture from the Council's contracted furniture
supplier. This will enable the Council to furnish the new Alexandra
Park Eco Centre office building which incorporates associated mess
facilities together with events and training spaces. The purchase
of eco furniture is part of a' blended' approach which will also
incorporate the re-use of some recycled furniture within the new
building.
RESOLVED - That: the purchase of Eco furniture
from the Council's contracted furniture supplier is approved.
Option 1 - Order eco furniture from the
Council's contracted supplier in order to equip the new office as
part of a 'blended' approach to the office's furniture
provision.
Option 2 - Furnish more of the new office with pre-used furniture
from the Civic Centre. Some items of furniture required are not
available as pre-used furniture so must be purchased as new. The
pre-used furniture items selected for use in the new offices are
suitable for purpose and will not need to be adapted to fit the
requirements of the building.
Option 3 -Do nothing - this is not an option
