RESOLVED - That:
To allow service continuity it is approved that the Framework
Agreements in place with contractors appointed to those 13 x lots
identified in this report are modified to allow an uplift to each
contractor’s Schedule of Rates in line with BCIS index at
12.66% for the period 3rd October 2022 to 2nd October 2023
Option 1 - To allow service continuity it is
recommended that the Framework Agreements in place with contractors
appointed to those 13 x lots identified in this report are modified
to allow an uplift in line with BCIS index at 12.66% for the period
3rd October 2022 to 2nd October 2023.
Option 2 - To cease to call-off works under the framework
agreements (where contractors refuse to quote on existing rates)
and to revert to obtaining quotations and tenders for all work
packages to comply with the Council’s Contract Procedure
Rules, which would be an inefficient, labour and time-consuming
process. It is also considered unlikely that alternative
contractors could be sourced to provide the services.
