Purpose:
There is a strip of land between Oasis Academy
and the school’s playing/sports field and car park which is
not secured. It is proposed to transfer the land into the current
lease held by Oasis Academy, to enable the area to be secured by
them.
Decision:
RESOLVED - That:
The land be transferred into the lease held by Oasis
Academy.
Reasons for the decision:
Option 1 - To approve the transfer of land
into the existing lease.
Option 2 - Not to transfer the land into the existing lease and to
leave the strip of land with open access to the general public.
This would leave students, staff and visitors to the school at
significant risk. There would also be a significant rolling cost
for the Council for maintenance of the space to keep it safe
