Failsworth Sports Centre has been experiencing
poor heating system performance for the past few years due to the
failure of two out of four boilers. The two failed boilers are
beyond repair.
Due to the age of the boilers and the lack of available parts, the
two operational boilers are being kept working by utilising parts
from the two redundant boilers.
The failure of another boiler would result in the Centre having to
close.
RESOLVED - That: Replace the existing boilers
and upgrade the controls to provide Failsworth Sports Centre with a
reliable and efficient boiler system.
Option 1 - to replace the existing boilers and
upgrade the controls to provide Failsworth Sports Centre with a
reliable and efficient boiler system.
Option 2 - Do nothing.
Option 2 - Do nothing. Not considered as being
viable due to two boilers having already failed beyond repair and
the lack of parts available due to the age of the operational
boilers. Failure of a further boiler would result in the closure of
the Centre.
