Purpose:

To provide approval to progress four initiatives supporting the decarbonisation of Council Buildings and achievement of the 2025 carbon neutrality target set out in the Oldham Green New Deal Strategy.

Decision:

RESOLVED - That:
Progress the four initiatives in this report as recommended. Under this option, the four initiatives set out in this report will be progressed, in support of achieving the Council’s 2025 carbon neutrality target.

Reasons for the decision:

Option 1: Do nothing. Under this option, no further work will take place on the initiatives within this report and no further expenditure will be incurred. However, this will result in a risk that the Council will not achieve its 2025 carbon neutrality target.
Option 2: Progress the four initiatives in this report as recommended. Under this option, the four initiatives set out in this report will be progressed, in support of achieving the Council’s 2025 carbon neutrality target.

Alternative options considered:
