To ensure that Oldham residents have access to
appropriate and effective HIV/STI testing and treatment services
and that Oldham has HIV prevention and support provision in
place.
The purpose of the report is to request approval for an extension
to the Collaboration Agreement for the procurement of HIV
prevention services for the GM Local Authorities to enable Salford
City Council, as the lead authority,to enact a 24 month contract
extension to the Greater Manchester Sexual Health Improvement
Programme (GMSIP) contract with Passionate about Sexual Health
(PaSH).
RESOLVED - That: Approve a variation to the
collaboration agreement to extend the partnering arrangements, with
Salford City Council, as lead for a further period of 24
months.
Option A: Do not extend the collaboration
agreement and at contract completion on 30 June 2022, Oldham no
longer contribute to the GM commission and the provision of HIV
prevention services for Oldham residents is discontinued.
Option B: Proceed to market to procure the provision of a
comprehensive GM-wide HIV Prevention Programme for a new service to
be in place by 1 July 2022.
Option C: Approve a variation to the collaboration agreement to
extend the partnering arrangements, with Salford City Council, as
lead for a further period of 24 months. Salford City Council would,
in turn, extend the shared contract with PaSH for a term of 24
months.
