Purpose:

In order to achieve the saving of £389k within the 2021/22 approved budget it is proposed to restructure the Finance Service as set out in the finalised consultation document.

Decision:

RESOLVED - That:1)To implement the proposed revised structure and ensure delivery of the full £389k savings for 2021/22 (plus £17k contributing to the corporate budget reduction)

Option 2 - To propose an alternative structure to achieve the saving which might require further consultation and delay the implementation process and the achievement of the saving agreed by Council.

The proposal was subject to full consultation with Trades Unions and staff. The consultation commenced on 4 January 2021 with a presentation to staff on that date. It concluded on 18 February 2021. The proposal was subject to scrutiny at the 28 January 2021 Overview and Scrutiny Performance and Value for Money Select Committee meeting.
