Updated allocation of Emergency Assistance
Grant Allocation.
The purpose of the report is to request Cabinet Member approval to
allocate grant funding to support residents with emergency
assistance and food during the COVID 19 crisis period. The report
sets out the updated proposed allocation of government funding to
support Oldham residents access to food and essentials.
RESOLVED - That: To allocate the Government
grant funding to support residents with emergency assistance and
food during the COVID 19 crisis according to proposals brought
forward and endorsed by Community Bronze. This will assist in
supporting rapid deployment of activity during a critical period
for Oldham to support vulnerable residents to stay safe.
Option 1 - To allocate the Government grant
funding to support residents with emergency assistance and food
during the COVID 19 crisis according to updated proposals brought
forward and endorsed by Community Bronze as outlined in the table
and appendices below. This will assist in supporting rapid
deployment of activity during a critical period for Oldham to
support vulnerable residents to stay safe.
Option 2 - Not to allocate the Government Grant as set out in this
report. This will mean that the proposals set out in this report
will not go ahead limiting the ability of the Council to support
vulnerable residents during the COVID crisis
