A decision is required to authorise a budget
code, so that the Council may progress with the construction of an
access road to the new Free School, known as Halcyon Way (a special
educational needs school) for the Kingfisher MAT. The construction
of the road by the Council is in accordance with an agreement
between the DfE who are building the school and Oldham
Council
RESOLVED - That:
•Agree to a budget code for these works.
•Note that a contract award will be made through a delegated
report to Cabinet Member for Education and Skills.
Option 1 - To agree to a budget code to enable
a contract for the works to progress.
Option 2 - To not agree to a budget code. The Council has agreed to
construct the road as a condition of the land transfer for the new
school site with the DfE and Kingfisher Trust.
