This report seeks delegated approval of:
The cost to replace the existing block paving on the Union Street
Bridge and the approaches with a resin bound surface and for the
approval of the appointment of PROW Ltd as the Contractor for the
work.
RESOLVED - That:
the delegated approval for this award is accepted and that the
framework is awarded to:
•PROW Ltd
Option 1 - The preferred option would be to
award the scheme to PROW Ltd. The implementation of the scheme is
essential to increase the levels of safety and prolong the lifespan
of the approaches and the structure
Option 2 - The alternative would be not to proceed with the works,
leaving the existing uneven surface and undertake remedial actions
to make good for use which is an ongoing maintenance issue and
further degradation of the waterproofing impacting the lifespan of
the structure.
