The purpose of this report is to consider the
introduction of a safety zone outside the Chadderton Health and
Wellbeing Centre on Burnley Street, Chadderton. The zone is being
introduced as a result of a pedestrian accident that occurred in
February 2016 when a child was involved in a collision on the
existing zebra crossing facility.
RESOLVED - That:
a safety scheme, consisting of the provision road hump at the zebra
crossing facility, together with improved hazard warning signs and
road markings be approved. It is also recommended that a road hump
notice be advertised in accordance with the schedule at the end of
this report
