Purpose:

Since 2010, Oldham has contributed to the funding of speech and language therapy (SLT) services through Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The funding has been used to provide SLT services across early years, primary and secondary phases.
2018-19 contract value:
•Early Years £ 22,884
•Primary
demonstration of strategies for implementation in the classroom; training around SLCNs for professionals; direct therapy in the educational setting where appropriate for a specified period of time.
Therefore, permission is being sought to continue with the current funding arrangements, with a revised contract and service specification for April 19-20.
The revised contract will include additional funding for a speech and language therapist to work directly with children and young people and professionals identified through Oldham Virtual School.
The estimated cost for this post is £37k for 1 year 0.6 FTE funded through Pupil Premium Plus.

RESOLVED - That: permission is given to make a direct award to Pennine care Foundation Trust NHS
