Kaiser Rehman

I became the youngest Councillor in Oldham in 2011 at the age of 25.

I have lived all my life on the Coppice in Oldham.

I became a Councillor to change the perceptions of Oldham, strengthen the local economy, reduce unemployment, improve the education offer, improve Oldham's health challenges and support the building of quality homes to make Oldham an address of choice.

My biggest achievement so far is to help set up an innovative project in Oldham called Keeping Our Girls Safe using some of my allocated personal budget. This is a voluntary organisation which raises awareness of unhealthy relationships with young people and the community to challenge and change attitudes.  

I served as an Assistant Cabinet Member in the municipal year of 2013- 2014.

I am approachable and like to talk to the people of Oldham. I am determined to see changes and improvements in our borough.
