To approve the capital build allocation for
the Metropolitan Place project to move 228 Social Work staff from
Southlink Units 7-13 to all 5 floors of Metropolitan Place on
Hobson Street in Oldham.
The value of the contract is £248k and relates to the
physical build alterations that are required to make the building
fit for purpose for the proposed move in September and October
2019
.

Consultation process
Consultation with Staff and partners effected
by the project from October 2018 to December 2018 have been
conducted. A suitable scheme to provide suitable accommodation for
Children's Social Care has been created as a result of the
consultaitons with staff. This was developed with partners at the
Unity Partnership
CIPB in December 2018 approved the initialallocation of funds for
the project to be developed pending formal development of scheme
proposal and the final statements of works with final
costings.
Corporate Property, Finance, Procurement and HR have all been
consulted on the proposals to which the final costings have been
obtained. Comments from these key stakeholders are attached to the
report.
