Minutes:
The District Executive received a report which advised of the budgets aligned for the 2015/16 municipal year.
The report outlined the following initiatives which were requested to be considered for approval:-
1. Installation of alley gates, Wesley Street – Allocation of £680.00
2. Lower Memorial entrance of Moston Brook – Allocation of additional £5000 as agreed at the 20th January 2015 meeting from Failsworth East budget
3. Christmas 2015
Failsworth Christmas tree, for Failsworth Pole – Allocation of £1300
Dressing of Christmas tree at Failsworth Pole - Allocation of £400
Dressing of Failsworth Town Hall - Allocation of £1000
Dressing of Failsworth Pole - Allocation of £1000
Dressing of Christmas tree at Hollinwood - Allocation of £400
4. Failsworth & Hollinwood District Team for event organisation - Allocation of £1000
5. Continuation of the Citizens Advice Bureau "make the most of your money" project - Allocation of £13796
6. Provision of planting within the District to include Roman Road - Allocation of £4000 (with an additional £750 for Summer Planting on Roman Road), Lord Lane and Westminster Road
7. Failsworth Carnival – Allocation of £2000 for the 54th Failsworth Carnival in 2016 (£1500 from partnership ward budget and £500 from Councillor McMahon’s individual Councillor budget).
The following initiatives were also requested to be considered for approval:-
1. Gates at Daisy Nook – Allocation of £400 from the capital budget.
2. Apprentice for District Team – Quote to be obtained, allocation of £3000 to be set aside.
3. Tree planting in Failsworth East – Allocation of £6000 from capital/revenue budget.
4. Breast Feeding ‘App’ and other breast feeding initiatives – An allocation to be agreed in principle.
RESOLVED that:
1. The funding allocated to the Failsworth & Hollinwood District Executive for the municipal year for 2015/2016 be noted.
2. The allocation of £680 for installation of alley gates, Wesley Street be approved.
3. The allocation of additional £5000, as agreed at the 20th January 2015 meeting, from Failsworth East budget for Lower Memorial entrance of Moston Brook be approved.
4. The allocation of £1300 for Failsworth Christmas tree, Failsworth Pole be approved.
5. The allocation of £400 for Dressing of Christmas tree at Failsworth Pole be approved.
6. The allocation of £1000 for Christmas Dressing of Failsworth Town Hall be approved.
7. The allocation of £1000 for Chirstmas Dressing of Failsworth Pole be approved.
8. The allocation of £400 for Dressing of Christmas tree at Hollinwood be approved.
9. The allocation of £1000 for event organisation by Failsworth & Hollinwood District Team be approved.
10. The allocation of £13796 for the continuation of the Citizens Advice Bureau "make the most of your money" project be approved.
11. The allocation of £4000 (with an additional £750 for Summer Planting on Roman Road) for the provision of planting within the District to include Roman Road, Lord Lane and Westminster Road be approved.
12. The allocation of £2000 for the 54th Failsworth Carnival in 2016 (£1500 from partnership ward budget and £500 from Councillor McMahon’s individual Councillor budget), be approved.
13. The allocation of £400 from the capital budget for gates at Daisy Nook be approved.
14. A provisional allocation of £3000, subject to a quote being obtained, for an Apprentice for the District team be approved. .
15. The allocation of £6000 from capital/revenue budget for tree planting in Failsworth East, be approved.
16. An allocation for a Breast Feeding ‘App’ and other breast feeding initiatives be approved in principle.
