Councillor Garry declared a personal interest at Item 7 of the agenda by virtue of the employment of her spouse by Greater Manchester Police.

RESOLVED – That the minutes of the Failsworth and Hollinwood District Executive Committee held on 18th October 2017 be approved as a correct record.

Failsworth & Hollinwood Police Report pdf icon PDF 833 KB

Minutes:

The District Executive gave consideration to a report of the Greater Manchester Police, Oldham Division, Local Policing Team, Failsworth, Hollinwood and Limeside.

Sergeant Paul Archer was in attendance to present the report.

Keys issues highlighted:

·       Dashcams being introduced on Startax Taxis due to anti-social behaviour.

·       Changes in how crimes statistics are recorded

·       Tesco and redesign of car park and highway – The area was a ASB hotspot and it would be beneficial if the Police could feed into the design change.

·       Antisocial behaviour at Limeside Park and the numbers of Fire and Rescue and Police deployed to deal with the situation

·       The 101 telephone number – number of aborted calls. Information to be provided compared with last year. Members were advised that the system was not on a loop.

·       Numbers of Police in the Oldham Area

·       Police checking buses with revenue inspectors. Members were advised this did not impact on police time.

 

RESOLVED – That the Local Policing Team, Failsworth, Hollinwood and Limeside report be noted.

Failsworth & Hollinwood Budget Report pdf icon PDF 161 KB

Minutes:

The District Executive gave consideration to the Failsworth and Hollinwood budget report. 

Members noted the duplication in the report in relation to Councillor Fielding’s Member budget. The budget line in realtion to Barons Court disables access was to be deleted.

 

RESOLVED - The Failsworth & Hollinwood District Executive agreed to the funding from the Hollinwood Capital Pot for the installation of gates and relevant signage for the Public Space Protection Order for Collier Hill.  Total cost including gates and signage was £3000.00.
