RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 20th January 2015 be approved as a correct record.

Petitions

This is a standing item regarding Petitions received, relating to the Failsworth and Hollinwood area, for consideration by the District Executive in accordance with the Council’s Petition Protocol.  No petitions have been received.  The EPetition reported at the last meeting, for gritting on Alder Road, expired on 24th January 2015 and received 0 signatures.  

 

Minutes:

No petitions had been received.  The Alder Road EPetition reported at the previous meeting closed on the 24th January 2015 but received no signatures.  It was reported that this was due to complaints already acted upon.

Minutes:

The District Executive received a report which advised on the current commitments and spends in respect of Elected Members individual budgets and the District Executive budget including Capital spend for 2014/15.

 

The report outlined the following initiatives which were requested to be considered for approval:-

 

1.     Road safety markings on Elm Street, Hollinwood – Allocation of £600

2.     Summer/Winter planting, Hollins Road, Hollinwood – Allocation of £4912.15

3.     Shortfall for removal of existing concrete/iron posts on Hulmes Road, Failsworth  - Allocation of £1290

4.     Grimshaw Street alley gating, cost of keys – Allocation of additional £100

5.     District Health Priorities - Allocation of £18,311 (Public Health Funding)

6.     Love where You Live/Dog Fouling, Failsworth West – Allocation of £600 from revenue budget and £245 from capital budget

7.     White lining, Failsworth West – Allocation of £986.68

8.     SmhART Project, Hollinwood – Allocation of £3340.52

9.     Love where You Live/Dog Fouling, Hollinwood – Allocation of £600

10.  Greening/Planting, Hollinwood – Allocation of £4393.53

 

RESOLVED that:

1.     The current budget position for both Capital and Revenue for the Failsworth and Hollinwood District Executive, along with the Councillors individual budget be noted.

2.     The allocation of £600 for road safety markings on Elm Street, Hollinwood be approved.

3.     The allocation of 4912.15 for summer/winter planting on Hollins Road, hollinwood be approved.

4.     The allocation of £1290 for the shortfall for removal of existing concrete/iron posts on Hulmes Road, Failsworth be approved.

5.     The additional allocation of £100 for the costs of keys for Grimshaw Street alley gating be approved.

6.     The allocation of £18,311 Public Health Funding for District Health priorities be approved.

7.     The allocation of £600 revenue and £245 Capital for Love where You Live/Dog Fouling in Failsworth West be approved.

8.     The allocation of £986.68 for white lining in Failsworth West be approved.

9.     The allocation of £3340.52For the smhART Project in Hollinwood be approved.

10.  The allocation of £600 for Love where You Live/Dog Fouling in Hollinwood be approved.

11.  The allocation of £4393.53 for greening/planting in Hollinwood be approved.

The District Executive received updates on the following:

 

a)     Integrated Neighbourhood Policing –A report was submitted on crime statistics for the area and provided an update on Operation Tuscan.  Councillor McMahon gave thanks to the police for the support in obtaining a blue lantern outside the Town Hall.

 

b)     Citizens Advice Bureau – an update was given on the weekly debt advice sessions at Failsworth Town Hall and Limehurst Library.  A concern was raised over the number of clients from other areas using the service.  It was explained that other District Executives also provided additional funding and that Failsworth and Hollinwood residents may also use other services if the time is more convenient to them.  It was suggested that a more detailed report, including client statistics from all areas of the Borough be submitted to a future meeting of the District Executive.

 

RESOLVED that:

1.     The updates be noted.

2.     A CAB report, including client statistics from across the Borough, be submitted to a future meeting of the District Executive.

Date of Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Failsworth and Hollinwood District Executive will be held on Thursday 4th June 2015 at 7.00pm.

The Chair gave thanks for the support received during the Municipal year and the District Executive also gave a vote of thanks to the Chair.
