RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 15th January 2019 be approved as a correct record.

Petitions

This is a standing item regarding Petitions received, relating to the Shaw and Crompton area, for consideration by the District Executive in accordance with the Council’s Petition Protocol.

Minutes:

The following information was provided in relation to:-

 

·       Shaw Road Alley Gates (Ref 2018-15) – people were generally not in favour of moving the gates and a letter had been sent to the lead petitioner explaining this. Residents had asked for a planter to be considered to address the issue of sight lines and a meeting was due to be held on 14th March.

 

·       Kershaw Street Steps (Ref 2019-01) – Legal Services would write to residents seeking evidence as to how long the steps had been there. The responses would be evaluated a report brought to the next District Executive meeting.

 

RESOLVED that the update be noted.

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a report of the Shaw and Crompton District Executive Petition Panel which updated the District Executive on the outcome of their meeting.

 

Members noted that a letter had been sent to the lead petitioner on 7th January 2019.

 

RESOLVED that the update be noted.

To update District Executive on Beal Lane Petition Panel Report

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a report of the Shaw and Crompton District Executive Petition Panel which updated the District Executive on the outcome of their meeting.

 

The District Executive noted that the Ward Councillors had disagreed with the Highways Authority view and supported the petition.

 

Following that meeting the lead petitioner had been advised that the next step would be for them to present the petition at a meeting of Traffic Regulation Order Panel, which could further consider the matter.

 

RESOLVED that the update be noted and a letter be sent to the lead petitioner setting out the next steps for their consideration.

Shaw and Crompton Community Hub project

This is a standing item regarding Shaw and Crompton Health Centre.

No additional information had been received since the last meeting of the District Executive on 15th January 2019.

The District Executive was informed that the Plan was progressing.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting the Shaw and Crompton Community Forum held on 15th January 2019 be approved as a correct record.

Shaw and Crompton Budget – End of Year Report and Appendix A pdf icon PDF 193 KB

To update District Executive regarding budget position

Consideration was given to a report of the District Co-Ordinator, which provided Members with a summary of the budget, including the ward budget and the individual Councillor budgets.

 

Members received a verbal update with regards to creation of further parking at Osborne Street and Elizabeth Grove. Members considered funding this work by the allocation of £10,000 Ward Improvement Capital Funding and the re-allocation of funding earmarked for Beal Lane parking restrictions and Knowl Road hedge work.

 

RESOLVED that:-

1.     The report be noted.

2.     The allocation of £10,000 Ward Improvement Capital Funding and re-allocation of £6865 earmarked for Beal Lane parking restrictions and £2088 earmarked for Knowl Road hedge work, to the creation of further parking at Osborne Street and Elizabeth Grove be agreed.

3.     The all other allocations as detailed in the report be agreed.
