Purpose:
To seek approval for the purchase of the
following machinery to replace existing old equipment.
- Out Front Deck Rear Discharge Ride on Mower;
- Rear Discharge Banking Machine;
- Quad Bike;
- Verti Quake; and
- Sand Spreader.
Decision:
RESOLVED - That:
the contracts are to be awarded to the suppliers who have provided
the most economically advantageous package in relation to quality
and price.
Reasons for the decision:
Option 1 - To award the contracts to the
suppliers who have provided the most economically advantageous
package in relation to quality and price.
Option 2 - To not approve the recommendation of this report and not
take advantage of the competitive quality/price ratio offered for
the machinery. Based on the costs a further tender exercise would
need to be undertaken delaying delivery.

Strategic Sourcing facilitated this tender in
conjunction with Environmental Services. Staff within Environmental
Services were consulted to ensure that the most appropriate
machinery was purchased.
