Town Centre Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan (CAAMP)
Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) and to approve the final
Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Determination

Decision:
RESOLVED - That:
To approve public consultation on the draft Oldham Town Centre
CAAMP SPD and supporting documents and to approve the final SEA
Determination Statement. This will allow the SPD to be prepared in
line with the Town and Country (Local Planning) (England)
Regulations 2012, Section 71 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990 and the Statement of Community
Involvement (SCI).
Reasons for the decision:
Option 1 - Option 1 – To approve public
consultation on the draft Oldham Town Centre CAAMP SPD and
supporting documents and to approve the final SEA Determination
Statement. This will allow the SPD to be prepared in line with the
Town and Country (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012,
Section 71 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation
Areas) Act 1990 and the Statement of Community Involvement
(SCI).
Option 2 - Option 2 – To not approve public consultation on
the draft Oldham Town Centre CAAMP SPD and supporting documents and
not approve the final SEA Determination Statement. This will mean
that the SPD would not comply with the Town and Country (Local
Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, Section 71 of the Planning
(Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 and the
SCI.
Alternative options considered:
Option 2 – To not approve public
consultation on the draft Oldham Town Centre CAAMP SPD and
supporting documents and not approve the final SEA Determination
Statement. This will mean that the SPD would not comply with the
Town and Country (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012,
Section 71 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation
Areas) Act 1990 and the SCI.
