The purpose of the report is to seek approval
for the Council to:
- Jointly commission the Vinden Partnership ('Vinden') tor review a
series of documents and costs relating to works carried out by the
Brookhouse Group ('Brookhouse') at Alexandra Retail Park.
- In principle and save for any error, accept the findings of the
report prepared by Vinden and subject to further Council approval
of the sums involved, proceed to reimburse Brookhouse for the
rightful costs incurred in satisfying the repairing obligations at
Alexandra Retail Park.
RESOLVED - That the Council look to jointly
commission Vinden and accept the findings of any future report,
subject to further reporting in accordance with the Council's
scheme of delegation.
Option 1 - Do nothing.
Option 2 - Seek to negotiate a settlement by agreement.
Option 3 -Refer the outstanding matters to an Expert for
independent determination.
