Obtain approval for the cost of the transport
for the School Swimming Service for a 2 year period
RESOLVED - That:
Award Swimming Transport Contract jointly to Yelloway Coaches Ltd
and Matthews Travel (KMATTCOACHES).
Option 1 -
The preferred option would be to award the Swimming Transport
Contract jointly to Yelloway Coaches Ltd and Matthews Travel
(KMATTCOACHES). An advantage of this option is that the contract is
awarded achieving best value to two local suppliers.
Option 2 -
Award whole contract to 1 supplier. This would exclude Matthews
Travel (K Matt Coaches) as they do not have the capacity to service
the whole contract. It would also not represent Best Value as it
would lead to an increase in the contract value.
Option 3 - Do not award the contract, go out to market again and
try to open the market further. This option would cause disruption
to the service and the new contract is required from 1st April
2019.
