The purpose of the report is to introduce the recommendation made in the Speed Limit Review carried out by Unity Partnership on behalf of Oldham Council and Transport for Greater Manchester

Decision:

RESOLVED - That:
a Speed Limit of 50mph is introduced on the one-way, Auxiliary Link Road between A627 and A62 that runs alongside Oldham Way (southwest side) connecting King Street Roundabout with Manchester Street Roundabout at the south of the Town Centre

Reasons for the decision:

Option 1 - Introduce a 50mph Speed Limit along the one-way auxiliary link road from Ashton Road (A627) to Manchester Road (A62)
Option 2 - Introduce a 30mph Speed Limit along the Oldham Way, north-west off-slip leading to the A62 Manchester Street / Manchester Road Roundabout
