Decision details

•The delivery of four Designated Funds schemes by Oldham Council on behalf of Highways England be noted;
•The creation of four scheme budgets within the 2018/19 transport capital programme with a total value of £230,000 in order to deliver these schemes be noted;
•The overall value of the 2018/19 transport capital programme increasing by £230,000 be noted;
•Improvements to the highway network in Oldham as outlined below are noted.

RESOLVED - That:
Oldham Council deliver the Designated Fund Programme works on behalf of Highways England to the terms and conditions set out in the Section 6 Agreement between Oldham Council and Highways England;

Option A – deliver the Designated Fund Programme works on behalf of Highways England to the terms and conditions set out in the Section 6 Agreement between Oldham Council and Highways England;
Option B – do not deliver the Designated Fund Programme works on behalf of Highways England to the terms and conditions set out in the Section 6 Agreement between Oldham Council and Highways England. This option risks reputational damage with Highways England and potential for funding to be withdrawn for the Designated Fund Programme in Oldham to the detriment of our highway network.
