out how the council will involve the community in the preparation
and the revision of the Local Plan and the consideration of
planning applications.
RESOLVED - That:
To approve the six week public consultation on the draft Statement
of Community Involvement.
Option 1 - To approve the six week public
consultation on the draft SCI. This will mean that the SCI will be
delivered in line with the Scheme of Delegation, which recognises
the importance of continued engagement on this planning document.
It will also mean that stakeholders and the public will be able to
express their views on how they would like to be engaged in the
planning process.
Option 2 - To not approve the six week public consultation on the
draft SCI. This would mean that the SCI is not delivered in line
with the Scheme of Delegation and the public will not be able to
express their views on how they would like to be engaged in the
planning process which may make them feel disempowered.
