To seek approval for the Council to enter into
a development and sale agreement for 24 Clegg Street
RESOLVED - That the Council
proceeds with a building licence to an agreed scope of works
leading to a disposal by way of a long lease.
Option 1 - The Council could choose to do
nothing and leave the property vacant. However, this would see the
Council continue to incur holding costs and would not regenerate
the area
Option 2 - Continue marketing for an alternative use. The offers
received as described in this report complements the objectives for
the town centre
Option 3 -That the Council proceeds with a building licence to an
agreed scope of works leading to a disposal by way of a long
lease
