24 Stoneswood Road, Delph
RESOLVED - That:
If no works are carried out there is a danger of complete
structural failure in the near future. This poses a risk to the
public and to the stability of the adjacent garden and residential
property. A collapse will also close the adjacent public highway.
The reconstruction of the retaining structure removes potential
liability to the Council
Option 1 - is to reconstruct the existing
dilapidated masonry retaining structure using standard civil
engineering construction methods to prevent future structural
failure
Option 2 - is to do nothing and allow the existing masonry
retaining structure to further deteriorate. However, there is a
potential liability to the Council in the event of structural
failure and damage to properties and/or injury/death to
persons
Option 2
